Song writting
Just had a massive breakthrough with this song im writing. I was so frustrated with my lack of inspiration yesterday I punched my bedroom door in (what a chav!). But now its written. And now i'm calm. Eat your heart out Alanis! ...any other songwriters out there? Ever had one of these hot tempered moments? Please share

Nah...

I walk away when I can't finish something and pick it up some other time, probably why I've started several novels and never written one to conclusion.

Re: Song writting
sometimes I can't express certain things in my art and instead a chain of lyrics or small verse gets written down usually with a burst of enthusiastic inspiration at the beginning but turning into a big AHHHHHHHHHH when I lose track of what I was expressing or (because I'm not a songwriter and am very academically challenged) my internal dictionary runs short :(

but my lyrics usually entail gods or other celestial beings, not a clue why

Re: Song writting
i get random lines all the time. and if i write ht eline down I can write an entire osng from one line int he space of two minutes. now I am leanring to filter out the crap lines and keep the good ones so I don't waste my time with songs that are pointless..
The hardest part for me is putting music ot them, although two of my faovurite osngs I ever wrote, I got very angry and punched and kicked stuff and something very weird in my mind said I should press recordon my laptop and sit at the piano, no music ready, no lyrics, no line... jus tplay what I felt. And I did. I love the songs I created. Lyrics came to me as I was singing, and so did the piano, which was a relief. I write on average 8 songs a week, half of which are worth me putting ot msuic, the others go into a massiv efolder. I find it difficult to express osme things, but easy to epxress others, so yeah...
